The Path to Opening Day

How We Get There

Building a rink from the ground up takes time, planning, and a community behind it. Here's exactly where we are, where we're headed, and how every person who signs up moves us forward.

Gauging Interest

Everything starts with the community.

We're connecting with players, families, and fans across the First Coast to understand the real demand for a dedicated roller hockey home here in Jacksonville. The size and shape of this community — the people who sign up, where they live, what they're looking for — directly determines how quickly we move forward and what this facility will look like when we get there. Every registration is a brick in this foundation.

Vision & Planning

With strong interest, we shape the vision.

Once our community interest goals are met, we get to work defining exactly what this rink will be. That means deciding what programs to launch first — leagues, training sessions, open skate nights — and building a realistic, detailed plan that reflects what our community told us they actually want. This phase turns enthusiasm into a blueprint.

Funding the Project

Next, we secure the resources to bring it to life.

A facility like this takes meaningful investment to build right. We'll pursue a combination of community support, local sponsorships, and investors who believe in growing the sport here on the First Coast. The interest list we're building now is one of our most powerful tools — it shows partners that real people in this community are ready and waiting.

Location & Design

Once funding is in place, we find the right home and design the space.

Finding the right location matters — not just for size, but for accessibility across the communities we want to serve. We're looking for a home that can support a full regulation rink and has room to grow. At the same time, we'll be designing the space from the playing surface to the locker rooms, the family seating areas, and the common spaces where the community will gather long after the game ends.

Permits & Construction

With plans finalized, we move into approvals and building.

This is where the rink starts to take physical shape. We'll handle all required permitting with local and state agencies, then break ground and begin construction — installing the playing surface, building out the interior, and setting up the systems that keep players comfortable and the facility running year-round, including lighting, ventilation, and climate control designed for Florida's heat.

Setup & Opening

As construction wraps up, we prepare for launch.

The final stretch — equipment installation, staff training, and everything that needs to happen before we can open the doors to our community. The people who signed up in Phase 1 will be the first to know when tickets, memberships, and league registrations go live. Opening day isn't just a milestone for us. It's yours too.
